Oh man oh man... My friends. My neighbors. My brothers and my sisters... My album is done and available!

It's been a long time coming and I simply can't tell you how good it feels to write this blog.

First off, let me introduce you to this, my new site, at www.JasPatrick.com.

I am gonna fill this sucker to the brim with blogs, vlogs, videos, pics and all sorts of interweb nom nom's for you to peruse at your convenience. For now it contains a lot of pics, a lot of behind the scenes content and read-ables and most importantly... MY COMPLETED ALBUM!!! All 18 tracks of aural, yummy goodness for you, my dear and patient friends!

I've got stories.
I've got scars.
I've got jokes.
I've got tears.
I've got the whole damn shebang and it'll all be coming to you here at http://www.jaspatrick.com

I have had to keep the blogs relatively "informative" while we waited for the album to come out--but no longer!!! I've years of stories and anecdotes to spin for you and they'll be coming on my new and improved blog on my new site. Now, never fear, I'll keep posting here; but you can now read them in AMAZING BLU-RAY FORMAT ON MY SITE!!! just kidding... I'll give the headlines here and you can link to there from here.

So damn... Where to begin? Who the hell knows... Certainly not I!

How can I tell you how much it's meant to me to have encouragement and support every single damn day from you wonderful people?
How can I explain how after we cut an entire album's worth of vocals, only to find that there was echo on EVERY SINGLE vocal on the damn thing--meaning, I had to go back and re-cut every single vocal you hear (again, 18 tracks worth)?
How can I begin to let you know how we've all wanted nothing more than to put this music out so you can enjoy it on your own iPod/stereo/computer?

I can't.

But that doesn't mean I won't try! lol

So enough wise-cracking from me.

The album is done.

THE ALBUM IS FREAKING DONE!!!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah!

We truly hope you dig what you hear and we can't thank you guys enough for showing support and pledging that you'll "buy the album as soon as it's out!" (Direct quote from MANY of you for over a year now--amazing, my friends, thank you!)

I know, I know... I'm being mushy; but screw that noise! I'll love you forever for being so kind to me. I'm beyond happy that you dig what I do and I thank you for giving a part of yourself to show some love to your old pal jas. I'll be forever grateful to you for that, thank you!

I have two favors to ask of you, my friends before I turn you loose:

1. Please tell anyone and everyone you can about me and my music. Many of you have asked how you can help and countless more have asked when I'm coming to play a show near you. Well, you can help me do that! Word of mouth is the most essential thing you can possibly do to bring our music to you! The more people you tell the better chance we have to get a show near you! So please, tell all you can!

2. Please don't upload this album or any tracks to file sharing sites. Now, I know, there's mixed feelings on this one. Let me point out a couple of things. I don't mind in the slightest if you burn a disc for your car, for your boyfriend/girlfriend/best friend/mom/animals--hell, burn a few!!! With my blessing and that's no lie. Burn one for your car, rip it to your computer (all seven of em in your house) and make several copies so you can rock me all day and all night! wink
I just want to point out. I'm not on a major label. We made this album by our sweat, our time, our blood and with every ounce of soul and passion we could muster--a lot of times it was FAR more than we could possibly afford--and of course WAY more cash than we have! lol
We did it because we love music and it is simply what I do. I made it with love. I only ask you handle it with just a little bit of the same. Believe me when I tell you it ain't about being a rockstar or getting "rich," but if you give it away on a file sharing site to thousands of nameless people you don't know--it only keeps it hard for me to make future albums/do shows near you/eat anything other than ramen noodles--even though ramen rocks, I'd love me a hungry man every now and again! lol

Okay, enough preaching and shit... You guys understand and I'm sorry to even have to bring it up--independent artists aren't Kanye, was my only point. No disrespect, Kanye; but you got more paper than any 1000 of us indie cats, my brother!

Back to it.

Seriously though, enough of my blabbing--head on over to my store and grab yourself a couple or twelve. They make great gifts! wink
