Tiny Lion Records was officially formed in May of 2008 but actually began long before.

Jas Patrick and Eric "Mac" McIntosh first became friends at Springfield High School; about 30 minutes north of Nashville. Jas and Mac both had a love of music and an interest in learning the business. Together they wrote songs and worked with local artists but never really found their niche.

Many years passed and Mac moved to Texas while Jas continued writing music on his own in Nashville. In 2005 Jas met Vicki after she moved to Nashville from Richmond, VA. Vicki had always had an interest in the music industry and live shows but was initially hesitant to get involved. Before long, Jas, Mac & Vicki were talking frequently about the possibilities of organizing something on their own; without the restraints of a traditional record label.

Tiny Lion is about family. The group of people who work daily to make this happen include Mac, Vicki, Jas and our amazing band- Jeff, Rod, EJ & Mike. Jeff also served as Co-Producer and Co-Engineer for Jas' debut album Working On My Soul. Not that these are the only players... Jas' mom Patricia and sister Angel spent countless hours helping during the recording process and are always on hand for support. Vicki's mom Barb has done research projects and is always on standby for work. Mac's mom Judy comes out to shows to support and has been spreading the word to groups she belongs to. Everyone works to help spread the word!

Countless other family members and friends have listened to us drone on about one detail or the other and who always understand when we never have time or money to do anything else. The amazing friends on Myspace who stuck by us through the three-year process of recording our company's first album, Working on My Soul. People who have never met Jas but have stayed a loyal friend nevertheless. We are humbled that they see something worth waiting for. To everyone who has given in any way towards the success of this venture, we are forever grateful.

Though we all have other careers, we love doing this for you and we promise that we will always try to do everything with the highest level of professionalism and care. This is our dream and we want to build an organization that does right in an industry that's often seen as doing wrong. Ultimately, we believe that with hard work and organization any independent artist can be heard. Thank you for taking the time to listen.
